Best Clam Shell Games
March 29, 2008 - 12:45 am
That little portable that consumes some of my time and attention… here is what I think has been the best for the DS, not in any specific order of greatness:
1) The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass (awesome interface, very fun to play in a total departure from the d-pad)
2) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Ring of Fates (total monster bashin’, ar-pee-geeing, multiplayin’ fun-fun-fun, with an actually decent plot in story mode)
3) Animal Crossing (believe me, it is the vg form of crack cocaine that I had a hard time weaning my self off of, DAMN you NOOK!)
4) Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (An alchemy of Bejeweled and RPG, I keep coming back to this one. Ted says the computer cheats, I think I agree, but it doesn’t bother me as much)
5) Pokémon Diamond/Pearl (gotta catch them all, this was my first exposure to this vg form of heroin)
6) Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (gotta catch them all, monster spirits that is, an absolutely fun monster slaying platformer)
7) And the latest… Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword (another great interface, a little similar to LOZ:PH but lots of power moves and holding the ds Brain Age sideways!)
Topics: Fun-fun-fun!, just plain cool, the games we play |
